! Jail Break

[EDIT:] So i've taken my friend Ragnar's advice and changed the Guard/Cop's expression to something less "happy" to hopefully be more clear and also made him a bit smaller and further back to show the distance between him and the guys busting out :)

I've been working on this piece for a few days, i had this idea of a bunch of prisoners escaping and a search light behind ( classic jail break scene?)

another reason was i got some good advice lately about using more of a story telling method to do drawings ( simply put to add backgrounds and charaacters that interact to tell a story ) so this is a first attempt ( i have some pieces but i need to do more )

I re-used an old drawing as well to speed some things up :)

sheez i'm old! i was way back in Cl.58! anyway a friend of mine has his roommate going to 2D at VFS now so those life drawing i've been in have been with them, top right corner is the friend.

Some more life drawings from the last week at VFS, these were 2-5min poses.

one of the male models is quite famous with posing with his sword collection.

And some memories of my former work place, the guy in the picture had a nickname which was "yaletown yoni" since he had worked at all these different studios and therefore knew just about everyone, also he'd stop and chat with lots of people even when we went for coffee.
